Join us on our mission to help protect and preserve mature trees and ultimately our planet’s ecosystem.

OUR MISSION

Mature trees provide irreplaceable ecological and sentimental value to people, communities and the planet at large.

To put one of many ecological benefits in perspective, a single mature tree can absorb carbon dioxide at a rate of 48 pounds per year and release enough oxygen back into the atmosphere to support two human beings.

Until now, for a property owner, the most accessible solution to remove a tree that has outgrown its current location, or was in the way of new construction, was to have it cut down -- destroying its life and environmental benefits in the process.

Through significant investment into technology and transplanting techniques, we’ve ensured that tree removal is no longer the only accessible option.

Re-Tree is a revolutionary digital marketplace that makes it easy for property owners to save and repurpose unique mature trees either by buying, selling, or relocating them.

As a result, property owners benefit from having the means to quickly improve the aesthetics of their property or by selling, ensure their tree avoids destruction and continues to thrive in a new location.

“In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”

Sustainability Makes Cents

Carbon Offset
Carbon Offset
Excess carbon dioxide (CO2) is building up in our atmosphere, contributing to climate change. Mature, established trees absorb more carbon per year than their younger counterparts. Reaching their most productive stage of carbon storage after 10 years of age, at which point even the smallest of tree species are estimated to absorb 48 pounds of CO2 per year.
02
Water Conservation
Water Conservation
Trees dug by the conventional spade method tend to lose 50% or more of their root system, giving the tree transplant shock during the process. Trees that experience transplant shock require more water throughout after care to ensure their rate of survival than those moved with the Air Spade. Roots do not like to be cut, as the disturbance to the root ball sets their recovery back much longer than with the Air Spade method, as well after care and irrigation requirements are much greater.
03
Energy Savings
Energy Savings
Mature trees are able to reduce the ambient air temperature by blocking sunshine in the summer, where in the winter block wind while opening up to sunlight, to expose the warmth. Further cooling occurring when water evaporates from the leaf surface (the more mature the tree the larger the leaf surface). The conversion of water to air vapor removes heat energy from the air. This results in burning less fossil fuels to generate electricity for cooling and heating.

The tree(s) on your property appreciate in value each year. Each unique mature tree has a marketplace value determined by using a Landscape Industry Tree Valuation Formula.
